De educatieve programma’s van A Tale of A Tub zetten kunst en artistiek denken op toegankelijke wijze in en nodigen uit tot dialoog en verbinding. In gesprek met onze onderwijspartners ontwikkelen wij programma’s voor elke doelgroep of schoolgroep, met voor elke tentoonstelling een nieuwe focus. Daarnaast kunnen partners specifieke thema’s of leerdoelen aandragen, die A Tale of A Tub samen met (internationale en lokale) kunstenaars en andere professionals vertaalt naar inspirerende workshops.

Onze huidige partners zijn onder meer: SBO Lucas, IMC On Tour, IMC Weekendschool, Harbour International School, Cultuurtraject, Rotterdampas, Natuurlijk Spangen, Willem de Kooning Academie, Rotterdam en Piet Zwart Instituut, Rotterdam.

Eerder hebben we samengewerkt met: Liza Wolters, Hilde Onis, Yoeri Guepin, De Onkruidenier, Aldo E. Ramos, Rachel Schuit, Pavel van Houten en Semâ Bekirović.

Lili Huston-Herterich

Rotterdam-based artist Lili Huston-Herterich was selected as the inaugural resident for the newly established residency program at A Tale of A Tub. During her residency, Huston-Herterich will take the institution itself as a site of negotiation, in turn engaging the very context of the pilot residency as material for a larger project. Central to the project is a mutual exchange between A Tale of A Tub and Huston-Herterich, through which she will explore possible modes of acknowledgement and citation in the field of art that can hold the many labours, contexts and situated specificities that artistic practices depend on. At the heart of this is an invitation to us as an institution to (self-)reflect on our own practices of inscription—something that is as much a welcome provocation as it is a necessity for the field at large.
