Guided Tour of The Drain with BRIANNA LEATHERBURY and ISABELLE SULLY

Join artist Brianna Leatherbury and A Tale of A Tub’s artistic director Isabelle Sully for a tour through Leatherbury’s exhibition The Drain. Drawing on the architectural history of the site—particularly the fact that the Justus van Effencomplex, where A Tale of A Tub resides, was the first building in the Netherlands to have central heating—the exhibition revolves around the installation of a retrofit heating system and engages with questions of housing and insulation. The tour will also include drinks and a brief introduction to the institution itself—not to mention some architectural titbits about the 1922 modernist monument that is the Justus van Effencomplex.

This event has been organised in the context of Art Rotterdam, an annual art fair running from March 27–30, 2025.
